The Board adopted an updated Complete Streets Policy in March 2025. The policy applies to all projects that receive funding programmed by NRTA and requires sponsors to document how the needs of all users were considered.
How the policy works
- Project sponsors complete a Complete Streets checklist at the application stage and at 30 percent design
- Exceptions must be documented and approved by the Director of Planning
- NRTA provides design review and technical assistance at no cost to member agencies
Who is eligible
- Applies to all member jurisdictions receiving NRTA-programmed funds
